As a rock climber I'm very inspired by other outside sports. Especially sports with a high level of skills and mind controls. Ultimately all these sports are once created by us, to satisfy a certain need to experience life.
Because in the end we experience life as a game. In order to have a game something has to be more important than something else. For example; getting an A is more important than getting a C. Or being a Senior Executive is more important than being a Junior Executive. University is more important than Kindergarten.
The problem with all these games is that we have forgotten that they once were created by us. And now we think that they are for real and we are living our lives that way. Because in every aspect of our lives we are buzzy in getting to a 'higher level' of life. We think that it means growth. Well, growth got nothing to do with adding more skills or knowing more stuff. Growth is the outcome of a process of letting go all the thoughts/feelings/ideas/metaphors that don't serve you now.

We experience life as a game in which what isn't is more important than what is ;-)
And if we realize it, we immediately create another game. Some of these games we translate in what we called 'extreme sports'. With the greatest stake in games, your life! Just to satisfy our need to experience life in the moment. Nothing wrong with it, it just is.
So what do you do, to feel alive?
